Alrite so i realize i havnt posted much of anything for like 2 months. whoooaaa yea thats a long time. so ill just go ahead and give you all the run down.

i went back home to maryland in december, and well it was pretty tight, yet a little dissapointing! it didnt snow. so who know when i’ll get to play in the snow again. but on the brightside i got to spend time with family and friends.

Then lets see i left maryland at the beginning of January, and me and my brother Russ, made a nice little drive from there to california. yea whooa. it was a long time.

well then eventually i got back to california, annnd then i decided i might as well get a job. sooo i did. i now work as a Childcare Worker at a school grades k-8, its a private school and basically i watch the kids in the morning before school, during their recess, during lunch, and after school. i wont lie its pretty tight.

oh yea and since ive been out here ive been doing a good bit of exploring the local area, and ive found some sweet stuff. but gas mileage in the city kinda sucks, so i think im gonna start venturing farther on the highway… but i have some tight pictures, and they are posted in the picture page, sooo have a look!

its been a while but…

this was sooo inspiring to write about.

I was running around san dimas tonight, just to clear my head, and to oyu know spend a little time running with God. and all of a sudden WHAP!!! WHAP!!! then noises of a car squeeling away. next thing i felt was a pain in both shoulders. and then i felt my shirt and it was wet all down my sleeve.

i was victim of a drive-by!!

now dont be alarmed. i know what your thinking, and no i did NOT get shot. i got egged. And it was kinda weird cause it was completely random and it wasnt anyone i know… atleast i dont think so, because well i dont think i have any enemies…

ohh but yea after the first drive me, about 10 mins later i was victim of a second wave! this time however the shooters sucked at aiming, and i was unhit.

here are some pictures of the afterwards

Some Quotes

“Can the Church stop its puny, hack dreams of trying to “make a difference in the world” and start dreaming God-sized dreams of making the world different? Can the church invent and prevent, redeem and redream, the posmodern future?” (Leonard Sweet from Soul Tsunami)

“The Gospel says, “Go,” but our church buildings say, “Stay.”
The Gospel says, “Seek the lost,” but our churches say, “Let the lost seek the church.” (Howard Snyder in The Problem with Wineskins)

“A man can no more diminish God’s glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling “darkness” on the wall of his cell.” (C.S. Lewis)

The Factors of our Lives.

•November 7, 2006 • Leave a Comment

so yea, ive been doing a bit more thinking lately then i perhaps ever have. And during one of my many thoughts i thought of some aspects that can define our lives.

Birth
This is probably the most simple defining moment of all. We were all born. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that each and every person reading this popped out of thier momma’s belly. This physical birth each of us went through defines who we are today in several ways.

what era were you born in? think about how the time period you were born in affects the way you think to this very day.

were you born into a fatherless or motherless family? did you grow up without one of your parents, if you did thats going to affect who you are today.

where were you born? if you were born here in America your whole culture is differnt than the rest of the world, and your thought process is different as well.

were you born into a rich family or a poor family? the economic status of your family effects how you deal with money in your own life.

the list of questions can go on and on, i hope you get my point though. Your life today for the most part will resemble the life you were born in to. Your birth affects your entire life.

Family
Just like birth, your family defines you. each and everyone of us had a different family situation. yes even you brothers and sisters, each one of you had a different situation. the youngest child is treated different than the oldest.

i think family is a defining factor because from living with your family you begin to figure out who you are and who you want to be. you learn from your family. you learn what character traits you want, and which ones you dont want. if you got upset when your family did certain things i would surely hope that when you grow up you wont do the same things to upset your own family. learning from your family is important. it will shape your own family when that time comes.

your family also impacts your view on the world. from growing up in a Christian family, you therefore grow up in the church. same goes with anything you grow up with, anything from your parents getting you involved in sports to your parents abusing you. it all affects how you see the world, and how you see life in general.

when i have some more time to think ill elaborate on the rest of my list, and perhaps add more words to the list.

I had a thought.

•November 7, 2006 • 2 Comments

here was my thought, to me i think it makes sense.

When you have Love and a Passion; All else will fall into place.

i just randomly thought this up and it really means something to me. When you have discovered what love is, what it really is, im not talking about the superficial kind, im not even talking about the humanly kind. im talking about love at its most purest level, God’s love. when you discover the way God loves you i believe things will begin to make sense.

i also believe that when you discover your passion things will also fall into place. when you become passionate about something you become devoted to that passion and in which process i think that life will unravel its self infront of you.

Like i said these were my thoughts.. what are yours?
